a sterile single packaging. There are three types of packaging available:<br \/>\n\u2022 Functional packaging \u2013 for variable use; it can also be used as an insertion aid or as an extension for draining the urine directly into the toilet.<br \/>\n\u2022 Peel packaging \u2013 for easy handling. Finger holes allow you to pull open (\u201epeel\u201c) the packaging gently and easily.<br \/>\n\u2022 Urine collection bag \u2013 useful solution when you are away from home and no toilet is accessible.<\/p>\n<p>For use in hospitals, the catheters furnished with the functional packaging (with the exception of IQ-Cath 32) or with a urine collection bag are available with an additional wrapping.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Way of use<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Not ready for use \u2013 the catheter is prepared for use with a lubricant of the user\u2019s choosing.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ready for use \u2013 the lubricant is integrated into the packaging; thus the catheter can be prepared for use in a few easy steps.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ready for immediate use \u2013 the catheter is already activated with the lubricant and can be used without delay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Length of the catheter<\/strong><br \/>\nThe length specification refers to the total length of the catheter (including the funnel): 43 cm mainly for men, 33 cm mainly for boys, 17 cm mainly for women. The lengths mentioned above are not available for all catheter versions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funnel<\/strong><br \/>\nThe funnel is color-coded in accordance with the respective size.
